Terry is a non-executive director and corporate adviser with special expertise in financing, commercial strategy and governance and with a special focus upon the healthcare, finance and resources sectors. He is the Deputy Chair of Mater Misericordiae Ltd (MML) and of Mercy Community Services SEQ Ltd and Chair of the Risk Management and Audit Committee for each of these companies. He is also a director of Mater Medical Research Institute Ltd (MMRI)and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee of MMRI. He is also a member of MML’s Clinical Advisory Board.
He has extensive senior executive and director experience nationally and internationally, including prior roles as Head of International Strategy, HSBC Bank plc, London; Head of Wealth Management Europe, HSBC Bank plc and Executive Director Corporate Finance, Boston Australia Ltd. He has been a director of Government Owned Corporations, Not for Profit Companies and commercial corporations for over 20 years.
Terry holds a Bachelor of Laws (University of QLD) and Bachelor of Economics (University of QLD), and was admitted as a Barrister-at-law in 1980 and is a member of the Asia Institute and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Prior directorships include Gladstone Ports Corporation Ltd and Yancoal Australia Ltd. His interests include family, surfing, cycling and snow skiing.
