White Energy Company Ltd announced its wholly owned subsidiary Binderless Coal Briquetting Pty Ltd has been offered a $4.35 million Commercial Ready innovation grant by AusIndustry.

Managing director John Atkinson said the grant was a strong endorsement of the company’s patented coal upgrading technology.

This follows the announcement earlier this month regarding BHP Billiton’s agreement to provide White Energy with a $US35 million ($A43 million) seven year unsecured convertible funding facility to accelerate the rollout of White Energy’s patented coal upgrading technology.
