Acquisition of White Energy Technology Limited, a company which has the exclusive license for the BCB technology. Name changed from Amerod Resources Limited.


 Joint Venture signed with PT Bayan Resources Tbk (PT Kaltim Supacoal) to construct and operate BCB plants in Indonesia.

2008

Development agreement signed with Peabody Energy to construct and operate BCB plants in the Powder River Basin Peabody_logo


Development agreement signed with Buckskin Mining ( a wholly owned subsidiary of Keiwit) to construct and operate BCB plants in Powder River Basin Kiewit

2009

Joint Venture signed with Black River Asset Management covering the African market

Sale of a 49% minority interest in Mountainside Coal Company Inc. and River Energy UK JV Limited to Black River Asset Management LLC.

History of BCB Technology

The BCB process was developed by a consortia led by the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and other leading coal industry players.

1993

Pilot plant using the BCB technology constructed at Newcastle (NSW, Australia)

1998

Pilot plant using the BCB technology with capacity of 400kg/hr built in Collie (WA, Australia)

2008

Pilot plant moved to Cessnock (NSW, Australia)


Demonstration plant with capacity of 135ktpa built in Cessnock (NSW, Australia)

2009

Completion of the construction of the 1MTPA commercial plant at Tabang (Kalimantan, Indonesia) as part of the PT Kaltim Supacoal Joint Venture


2009-2014 BCB technology continually refined and tested at Cessnock

2014

Commenced planning activities to construct a BCB plant at Mountainside Coal Company
